Hand carving is an old craft learned from skilled people over many years. The methods for making real art pieces, like hand-carved furniture and detailed wood sculptures, have stayed the same for hundreds of years. No power tools are used, and the chisel marks—akin to an artist’s brush strokes on canvas—are preserved.
