콘서트용 오르간을 위한, 투조로 새긴 독립형 장식입니다. 아칸서스와 소용돌이 무늬를 온전히 투조로, 판재의 앞뒤로 꿰뚫어 새겨, 악기가 숨 쉬면서도 한결같이 장식으로 관을 쓰게 합니다.

공방에서

본도 쓰지 않고, 지름길도 없습니다. 결 자체가 장식이 될 때까지, 피나무와 참나무를 다듬습니다. 바로크 부조가 요구하는 것은 바로 이 더딤입니다.

작업의 방식

역사 연구로서의 작업

그렇기에 이 공방의 목조각은 언제나 둘도 없는 것입니다. 어느 역사적 양식의 해석일 뿐, 본을 떠낸 복제품이 결코 아닙니다. 나무의 결, 잎의 선, 언더컷의 깊이에는 연구의 흔적이 깃들어 있어, 똑같은 것이 둘 있을 수 없습니다. 이 공방은 양산품을 팔지 않습니다. 한 사람의 평생에 걸친 학식과 디자인과 솜씨가 뒷받침하는 완성작을 건넵니다. 그리고 모든 작품은 수백 년 묵은 기예의 한 자락을 망각에서 건져 내기도 합니다.
