Flores trabajadas en relieve profundo: girasoles, dalias y corolas plenas, rebajadas hasta que la luz pasa tras los pétalos. Un estudio de hasta dónde llega un solo bloque de tilo bajo la gubia.

En el taller

Sin moldes. Tilo y roble trabajados hasta que la veta misma se vuelve ornamento. Esa es la lentitud que exige el relieve barroco.

El método

El trabajo como estudio histórico

Cada encargo nace como un proyecto de investigación, y no como un simple pedido. Antes del primer corte, el trabajo consiste en estudiar la pieza: remontar un motivo hasta su época y sus maestros, comprender cómo pensaba y se movía la mano que lo talló por primera vez, y llevar un saber en vías de desaparición a una obra nueva, como han trabajado los tallistas durante siglos.

Una talla de este taller es, por ello, única: la interpretación de un estilo histórico, jamás una copia sacada de una plantilla. La veta de la madera, la línea de la hoja, la hondura del rebaje guardan la huella de un estudio y de una mano, y no hay nunca dos iguales. El taller no vende un objeto de serie. Entrega una obra acabada, sostenida por el saber, el dibujo y el oficio de toda una vida. Y cada pieza rescata también un poco de un arte secular del olvido.
